| Fishing Memorablia |
| Hi guys, I remember back then in the past when we were kids, We don’t have money to purchase fishing gears, so we make twigs or bamboo sticks for the pole and fish hook cactus thorns for the hook, We don’t used artificial baits also, We dig the earth to hunt for worms, earth worms in freshwater and also worms in saltwater, but now because of technology, It’s just a mouse click away to purchase all the fishing gears that you need and one of my favorite sites to shop are the links below http://www.fishingreels4less.com http://www.fishingrods4less.com |

Chasing Trophy Whitetails “Closer than you think” Part 1 of 3 So often I hear the same old story coming from friends, family and general inquiries from the Web or traffic from the show. It goes something like this: “Boys and I are packing up this evening. We’re heading to southern Illinois for a three-day hunt,” or “We’re driving five hours to Switzerland County,” allegedly the best county to hunt in Indiana. I always chuckle at hearing this because more often than not I catch up with them the following week to hear yet another familiar story. “Well, I saw a big buck but just didn’t get a shot,” or “A huge buck came in behind me and I got busted.” It never ceases to amaze me how hard people work and how far they are willing to travel to bag that big buck for the season, so many times spending countless hours on the road and racking up huge travel expenses. Why, by the end of the season if they calculated all the costs and time involved, they could have paid a high-end outfitter somewhere and gotten the hunt of a lifetime for the same price and less wasted time. |

| Eagle Creek Reservoir Walleye |
| Captain Bradford "Mad Dog" McClatchie and I took a shot at Eagle Creek this morning. We were hoping for walleye but did not find any. We pretty much caught fish in the first 5 minutes and non stop until the last 5 minutes of the trip. Small white bass and crappie were plentiful but the quality evaded us. Also caught one small channel cat and two tiny largemouth. This was our first trip and we decided to wing it. We trolled around the entire edge of the area where the bait shop is located. I mean a slow crawl all the way around past the dam and past Rick's. We covered depths from 12 to 33 feet around the perimeter. We were using slip sinkers with minnows and night crawlers working the bottom. Again, very effective for small white bass and crappie, but for walleye, not so much. Couple of notes, the bait shop opens at 8.00 am and you need two bucks worth of quarters to get through the gate to launch your boat. Good luck! |

| Cataract Catch! |
| I wish I could say this was my catch but it's not. Still, worthy of sharing! Recently, a buddy of mine was crappie fishing out on Cataract. He was using a small 5 ft crappie pole with 2lb diameter (10lb test) power pro line. He thought he got snagged but then his line started moving. After about a 45 minute fight, he finally managed to get this fish in the net. Considering he was by himself, that was quite a feat! Anyway, it measured 43 inches long and was estimated to be around 55lbs. -it was caught just a few weeks ago and released to be caught again!
